Justice S. M. Attique Shah Chief Justice High Court of Peshawar
Mr. Justice Syed Muhammad Attique Shah is the Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pakistan. He was appointed as Chief Justice PHC by Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari on the recommendation of Judicial commission of Pakistan. He was sworn in as the permanent Chief Justice on July 9, 2025. Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi administered the oath to him. He first took oath as the Acting Chief Justice on February 14, 2025, following the elevation of Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim to the Supreme Court of Pakistan. He was appointed as a Judge of the Peshawar High Court on August 11, 2016. The Chief Justice of PHC is the head of the Justice system of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Chief Justice S.M Atiq Shah also served as a Senior Puisne Judge of the Peshawar High Court.

Justice S. Muhammad Atiq Shah was born on 12th October, 1968 at ,KPK Pakistan. He received her Law Degree from Khyber Law College Peshawar University Peshawar. Justice S. M. Attique Shah started enrolled as an Advocate lower court on 1993 and as an Advocate of the High Court on 1995 and then as an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan in 2008. He was appointed as a justice of the Peshawar High Court on 27 March 2017.
